Dogfight

Dogs have never had it better. Some Butler County dog owners have purchased dog collars equipped with GPS so that they can always find their four-legged friends. Glow-in-the-dark collars are also available, and there's a company that sells paw protectors for dogs who hike and climb over rocks with their owners. There are also canine cooling vests for purchase, as well as custom dog "mansions," doggy showers and even bottles of dog "beer" (non-alcoholic). The point is that as couples put off having babies (human ones), they often lavish more attention on man's and woman's best friend.

Six-year-old beautifully explains facts of divorce to mom

At six years old, she understands as well as anyone ever will the importance of civility between divorced parents. In a heart-warming viral video, the little girl patiently, clearly, lovingly explains to her mom that life will be better for everyone when the adults get their emotions under control.

How to issue a divorce apology to your child

There's little doubt that when parents divorce, their children are inevitably going to have some difficult times dealing with it. Some parents want to apologize to their kids for putting them through the divorce -- a process that might include arguments in front of the children, name calling, insults and putdowns, extended periods of silence between the parents and so on.

Child custody can be complex, even after it is finalized

Child custody -- if it is something that the two spouses can't agree on -- will almost certainly be the most contentious and upsetting matter involved in a divorce. Thankfully most splitting spouses are able to agree to some form of joint custody which allows each spouse to have some time with their children and, maybe most importantly, affords the child to have a consistent relationship with each of his or her parents.
